As well as promoting shows and co-starring with big celebs, Buddy Simmons worked as a disc jockey for KVAN and KRDR as well as the program director for the latter. He was the FIRST person to play country music over radio airwaves in the Pacific Northwest. He also had three television shows on three different networks. These were “Northwest Jamboree” on KPTV 12, “Hoedown” on KATU channel 2, and “The Buddy Simmons Show” on KGW channel 8.
